Meatpacking District

While driving through the Meatpacking District on its cobblestone streets around noon on Sunday, I became increasingly hungry and wanted to grab an early lunch outside before the rain came in. When I scanned the area, my eyes landed on a nearby Italian restaurant with outside dining, and I said to myself, let’s do it!

After circling the block a few times, I finally found a parking space, and then walked over to the restaurant, got seated outside, and began reviewing the menu. Since I was starvin-marvin, it didn’t take long to pick an entrée to order, going with the Spaghetti Aglio & Olio “Al Pacino” and a bottle of sparkling water.

To pass the time while waiting for the food, I gleefully began summarizing this experience in my journal app. Before I could finish framing up the journal entry, the waitress appeared with my lunch, and when I caught a whiff of the fancy-looking pasta, I knew that I made an excellent choice! She sprinkled freshly ground pepper over the dish, and then I dug in!

Now bellyful and in no hurry to get home, I decided to stroll around the neighborhood and stumbled upon the Whitney Museum of American Art. I figured this was a good time to check out some art, brought a ticket, and went in to explore!

Have a pleasant Sunday evening. 😊
