The Elephants

After a busy workday, I rolled into the kitchen, placed two pieces of freshly sliced rye bread in the toaster oven, and made a pastrami sandwich with a light layer of spicy mustard on top! Once I wolfed it all down with a tall glass of strawberry lemonade, I headed outside to find a nice spot to decompress. Let's do it!

Notably, it was a tad bit cloudy and humid outside this evening; however, the conditions were great for relaxing and enjoying the elements of the environment as far as I was concerned. That led to me sitting on a bench near three cool-looking elephant statues in a park that, in the wintertime, is transformed into a pretty little ice skating rink.

As I sat here immersing myself in the present moment, I soon became fixated on the eye-catching imagery of the water spouting out from the elephant's nose, along with the splashing sound of the H2O hitting the ground.

The more and more I listened and watched intently, the calmer and calmer I got, eventually drifting into a meditative state. Then, in a matter of minutes, I found myself lost in thought!

When I came back to reality, the first thing that came to mind was a line I heard Alicia Keys sing at one of her concerts a few years ago, "How we all come together in unity and equality with love for each other."

The abovementioned lyrics are a good description of how I felt during that moment, right before spending the next few minutes journaling my thoughts.

I share this short post with pleasure, and I want you to know that it's way more interesting to interact with you on this platform than watching a re-run of a television show later tonight. Lol!

Nevertheless, I trust this positive message will be delivered to those who should read it; that's why I decided to share it. 😊

Have a wonderful evening.
