Times Square in October

After handwriting the final sentence on the last page of my vintage leather-bound journal yesterday evening, I flipped to a random section and landed on a day when I was capturing some thoughts while in the Times Square area.

Admittedly, I find rereading a journal entry from a year or more ago valuable because taking the time to reprocess what you were thinking at that time through a more mature lens is a great way to measure your personal growth. And occasionally, this produces an aha moment! Can you relate?

So with no plans this Saturday morning other than to hit the gym, I decided to make an impromptu trip over to 42nd Street after working out. My game plan was to walk around reassessing that previous journal entry, absorbing the lesson learned, the clarity achieved, and then letting my thoughts flow freely and documenting as much I could into my phone.

When I arrived at forty-deuce and 7th Ave and walked up the subway station steps onto the city sidewalk, I got that typically rush of excitement when I spotted the famous Ball Drop area. No matter how many times I walk by this place, I think of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and oh, how we are all ready to bring on 2021! 😊

Have a fun and relaxing weekend!
